Keynote Speaker
Sonya Shafer is a popular homeschool speaker and writer, specializing in the Charlotte Mason Method. She has been on an adventure for more than 20 years studying, researching, practicing, and teaching Charlotte’s gentle and effective methods of education. Her passion for homeschooling her own four daughters grew into helping others and then into Simply Charlotte Mason, which publishes her many books and provides a place of practical encouragement to homeschoolers at simplycharlottemason.com.
Free “Getting Started” Workshops
We are offering two free workshops for new homeschoolers on Friday, June 7, 2024 before the conference. Pre-registration is not required. You may register the day of the event when you arrive at 1:15 pm. If you would like to stay for the rest of the conference, please register online or at the door.

- Note: All fees are non-refundable
- For your added convenience you may purchase your 2024/2025 HENB membership when you register for the conference for just $20. The normal cost is $30. This membership is valid until May 15, 2025. Youth Program
There will be a Youth Program at this year’s HENB Conference on Friday, June 7, 2024. This evening was planned specifically for our high school students (minimum ages 13 and up) interested in post-secondary opportunities, encouragement from God’s Word, and time to hang out with friends. There is also an opportunity for any entrepreneurs to sell their creations!
Cost:
- Friday Youth Program – $10 per teen
- Teens (ages 13+) have the option to return Saturday and attend the main conference with their parents.

Used Curriculum
We are once again offering you the opportunity to sell your used curriculum on Friday, June 7.
- Setup Time: 3:00-3:30 pm
- Sale Time: 3:30-5:00 pm
- The fee is $7/half table and $12/whole table. Tables are provided.
- You may register and pay with your conference registration.
Youth Entrepreneur Sale
To encourage the entrepreneurial spirit of our youth, we are offering youths (13 years old and up) the opportunity to sell or advertise their inventions at a free table during the used curriculum sale. Parents can sign their youth up for a free table when they register for the conference. While the cost of the table is free, youth should sign up for the youth program if they wish to remain and attend either the conference or the youth program.
Children at the Conference
Young babies are always welcome with their parents at the conference.
Stroller Access
Strollers may be challenging in areas other than the vendor hall.
Food and Drinks
Included in your conference fee are the following:
- Coffee, tea, and water throughout the conference.
- Friday evening includes a decadent dessert.
- Snacks will be provided both Saturday morning and afternoon.
There are many restaurants and fast-food options nearby in Moncton for Friday supper and Saturday lunch.
